Allan Ndata Wangechi is the Founder and Executive Director of Caritas of Hope Foundation, formerly Hopefill Foundation. He established the organisation on 20 September 2023 as a focused mental health initiative, responding to a clear and urgent need within Kenyan communities for psychosocial support and improved access to care.
Through strategic expansion in 2025 and institutional rebranding in January 2026, Allan led the transformation from a single-sector mental health foundation into a structured, multi-sector development organisation committed to advancing health, education, humanitarian support, inclusivity, and environmental sustainability. His conviction that sustainable transformation requires a broader, integrated approach continues to guide the Foundation's 2026–2030 strategic framework.

Judith Terer serves as Deputy Executive Director of Caritas of Hope Foundation during a transformative period in the organisation's institutional journey. From the Foundation's founding in 2023 to its strategic expansion and rebranding in 2026, Judith has been central to the evolution of the organisation into a structured, multi-sector institution committed to delivering measurable and sustainable community impact.
As Deputy Executive Director, her focus remains on strengthening institutional systems, enhancing operational coordination across thematic programmes, and ensuring that the Foundation's strategic objectives are translated into tangible outcomes.
Judith places community participation at the centre of the Foundation's approach, believing transformation is most effective when local voices are engaged in planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Foundation Established as Hopefill Foundation
Allan Ndata Wangechi establishes Hopefill Foundation as a dedicated mental health institution responding to the growing demand for psychosocial support in Kenyan communities.
Strategic Expansion — Multi-Sector Mandate
Following strategic review, the Foundation expands into five integrated objectives: Health, Education, Humanitarian Aid, Inclusivity & Diversity, and Environmental Sustainability.
Thematic Agencies Established
The Executive Director formalises a programmatic structuring model: Caritas Health Initiative, Caritas Education & Empowerment Program, Caritas Humanitarian Aid Network, and Caritas Environmental Sustainability Program.
Rebranded as Caritas of Hope Foundation
The organisation formally adopts the name Caritas of Hope Foundation, reflecting institutional maturity and expanded multi-sector programming.
Strategic Framework — Scaling Impact Responsibly
The Foundation launches its 2026–2030 Strategic Framework: strengthening governance, scaling health and education programmes, and integrating environmental sustainability across all community development work.

Rita Gitonga
Chief Administrative OfficerRita Gitonga serves as Chief Administrative Officer at Caritas of Hope Foundation, where she has been part of the organisation's journey since 2023. Her work centres on strengthening the administrative systems, operational coordination, and institutional structures that allow the Foundation's strategic vision to translate into consistent, meaningful action on the ground.
Rita brings a multidisciplinary lens to her role, shaped by a professional background in nursing and a growing focus on healthcare technology and innovation. This grounding gives her a distinct perspective on organisational effectiveness — one that treats systems not as bureaucracy, but as the scaffolding that lets people and programmes do their best work.
As Chief Administrative Officer, Rita is focused on improving coordination across the Foundation's functions, strengthening institutional processes, and ensuring that ambition is matched by the operational discipline needed to sustain it. She holds a firm belief that strong institutions are not built on ideas alone, but on the deliberate, often unglamorous work of building the systems and teams that carry those ideas forward.
Beyond her administrative role, Rita is a committed lifelong learner who values knowledge-sharing and creating spaces for collective growth. Guided by curiosity and a drive for impact that lasts, she continues to explore where leadership, healthcare, technology, and social change intersect - bringing fresh thinking back into her work at the Foundation.
